Age UK

Age UK are The Nerve Injury Clinic’s nominated charity. Ageing is not an illness, but it can be challenging. At Age UK they provide services and support at a national and local level to inspire, enable and support older people. They stand up and speak for all those who have reached later life, and also protect the long-term interests of future generations.

They reach out to older people, their carers, and their families, to support them with the impartial, personalised, and expert information and advice they need.

Claire talks about the team’s reasons for choosing this incredibly important charity as their nominated charity for 2023:

“Age UK does a fantastic job in supporting elderly people in the community, both here in Sale and nationally. As a physiotherapist treating people with neurological problems, I see the fantastic job Age UK does in helping them and their carers cope with day to day life. The Nerve Injury Clinic supports the work Age UK does.”

Claire and her son Thomas are taking part in the Great Manchester run on 21 st May 2023 and are looking for sponsorship to raise money for the charity. If you feel you’re able to donate and support them in achieving their £500 target, please donate here:
